Infant Curriculum

Infant Curriculum

Admission Open

It begins at step one with our Infants. Ages 6 weeks to 6 months. Every interaction is an opportunity to cultivate. While giving our infants tons of love and care we incorporate the essentials of learning in an atmosphere for our infant’s growth. Therefore, we stand by our name one step at a time.  We customize our infant’s schedule based on the individualized needs. Our infant curriculum creates a compact foundation for future growth and development.  The infant will learn through play. We will use benchmarks for the child to set, grow, and develop throughout one class to the next. The question, what can my infant possibly learn at this age is very common. However, while at step one we will use the developmental continuum by, assisting the infant to:  Responds to name and explores self in mirror, Responds as caregiver takes care of his/ her needs, Calms with support from caretaker, Sit independently and pulls self into a standing position, Picks up small objects with thumb and pointer finger (pincher grasp), Uses vocal sounds and gestures to communicate, Grips a writing utensil and uses it with help, Plays predictable activities with caregivers such as patty-cake and peek-a-boo, Picks up and puts down objects.
